Bill Romeo is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and the owner of the Matthews office of Everest Retirement Planners. One thing you will notice immediately when you meet with Bill — he is a family-oriented man with a passion for teaching and helping others learn how to pursue success! His primary focus is to work with pre-retirees and retirees alike to develop retirement income plans that utilize today’s best tax-smart investing techniques and estate planning strategies. We call this “Coordinated Financial Care,” which is the basis of his practice and a level of financial service you will not receive anywhere else. We encourage you to ask one of our existing clients and see for yourself.
Bill considers himself to be a financial coach and conducts seminars and workshops on a routine basis to educate people on how to maximize their retirement income, when to take their Social Security benefits, how to sign up for Medicare and avoiding the many IRA pitfalls when moving company retirement plan assets or through receiving an inheritance.
He helps clients with legacy planning, long-term care planning and working toward allocating retirement funds so they do not outlive their money. Great satisfaction comes when being able to take difficult and confusing financial topics and distill them into simple language anyone can understand and then benefit from. His talents as an instructor/teacher earned him a position within the Extended Academic Program at UNC Charlotte and as a regular speaker for the Carolinas College of Health Sciences Division of Medical Education Alumni Group.
He obtained the Certified Financial Planner™ certification from The American College of Financial Services, acquired FINRA securities licenses Series 6, 63 and 65, where he is registered to do business in North Carolina, South Carolina, California and New Jersey. Bill is also licensed in those same states to offer clients life and long-term care insurance. He has a Master of Science degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University.
Happily married to his wife and office manager, Maria, they enjoy spending quality time with their two children by attending their extracurricular school activities. Bill loves the outdoors and is a longtime active member of F3 (Fitness, Fellowship and Faith), a not-for-profit workout group that meets throughout the Charlotte/Concord area and strengthens male community leadership. When you see him, ask him how he got his F3 nickname, Othello.
