HOW WE WORK WITH CLIENTS
We follow a detailed multi-phase appointment process as described below:
Phase 1 - This is our initial meeting which will begin with an introduction, us asking you some questions, and simply getting to know you, your retirement goals and objectives. We also want you to be able to get to know us and like us! In our opinion, the most important part of financial planning is the development of repertoire so we can have a long lasting relationship. A state of the art Risk Analysis will be performed and you will complete a Condition of Satisfaction Ranking Survey. Once you leave we will go to work, crunching numbers and completing an initial review to identify areas where we can create the most value for you, so that you can make an educated decision as to whether you wish to engage the services of our firm.
Phase 2 - The next phase (second meeting) is where we let you know the results of our initial review by presenting to you a Potential Concerns and Opportunities Report Summary. After we go over this report in detail, we hope you would engage our services to prepare one of the many in-depth and detailed follow-up reports that will begin to lay the foundation of your retirement plan!
Phase 3 - This is the third meeting and the most enlightening. Here we go over all of the reports you engaged us to complete on your behalf and provide specific recommendations where appropriate. We feel this is the most "eye-opening" for our clients as it begins to give them a real sense of how well (or not so well) they have prepared for this next phase in their life - retirement! Upon completion, most clients will allow us to help them institute the recommendations we suggested and from there we come your financial advisor!
It is important that you also know we follow the Department of Labor (DOL) fiduciary standard when working with clients, which means we will act in only your best interest and ensure that all retirement advice given is suitable to your objectives, needs and circumstances. As a fiduciary, we remain loyal to our clients and make full and fair disclosure of all facts pertaining to your retirement situation. Bill is also an independent retirement income planner and as a result, is not restricted to particular products or sales quotas. He is free to draw on the wide variety of options available from a full range of investment and insurance companies to build individualized plans and programs that benefit you! He doesn't make one-size-fits-all recommendations, because every client’s situation is different!
